Hey, I am Caro and I completed my PhD at the University of Cologne in the field of social psychological decision research. In my dissertation, I investigated how emerging preferences affect the evaluation and search for new information, leading to systematic biases in sequential decision-making. Since October 2026, I have been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Ruhr-University Bochum at the Chair of Social Cognition. There, I study how the frequency of features influences our perception of social groups as well as differences and inequalities. Additionally, I continue to work as a lecturer at the University of Cologne, teaching research methods and statistics.
