About
My name is Max, and I earned my Ph.D. in Sports Informatics, focusing on quantitative game analysis. I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Training Science and Sports Informatics at the German Sport University Cologne. My research focuses, among other things, on match prediction and the identification of key performance indicators (KPIs) in soccer. I am fascinated by the statistical phenomena of the game and the quantification of tactical aspects. I am currently advising several doctoral students and, on average, five bachelor’s and master’s theses per semester.
