About
My name is Alex, and I am currently registering my doctoral proposal on the development of resistance in FLT3-mutated AML (a form of leukemia) at Heidelberg University and Heidelberg University Hospital. Ever since my bachelor’s degree, I have been applying my skills as a biochemist to cancer research (for example, by investigating a potential novel drug—Majusculamide-O) to help people live better and longer lives. Through a total of three semesters abroad at Michigan State University, I have already had the opportunity to conduct research on an international level and contribute to several publications. I love traveling and exploring, meeting new people and engaging with new ideas, and I’m an avid scuba diver and wakeboarder.
