Hello, I’m Theresa, and I’m a certified banking professional with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, which I earned with top honors. On the side, I volunteer as the financial accounting manager at my daughter’s daycare center. Banking and biochemistry? A stark contrast at first glance, but scientific precision is essential in both fields. And that’s exactly where I have plenty of practical experience (quantitative and qualitative research, statistical analysis), because I’m passionate about a wide variety of topics and can inspire others to share that passion: I’ve always enjoyed mentoring and supporting trainees (at the bank) as well as students (during my own studies). Although my area of specialization during my doctoral studies was neurobiochemistry, I also have in-depth expertise in genetics, cell biology, organic chemistry, redox biology, and banking.
